The MWC 2019, Barcelona brought up a huge lot of subjects to discuss. One of the major revelation being Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi 9 phone.

Xiaomi used its press conference at MWC 2019 today to announce details about Mi9, besides disclosure of its first 5G handset.

The company disclosed European pricing and release information on the phone.

Prices will begin from 449 euros (around ₹36,193, $509) for a model with 64GB of onboard storage, or 499 euros (around ₹40,233, $565) for a 128GB variant.

Pricing for the UK is set to be announced closer to February 28th, phone’s release date.

Besides storage, the specs of the two phones are identical. The successor to last year’s Mi 8 Pro, the latest smartphone also features Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 855 SoC.

Although, unlike Mi 8 two rear cameras, the new phone comes with three cameras on the rear. A 48-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel camera with 2x optical zoom, and a wide-angle 16-megapixel camera with a 117-degree field of view make up these three cameras.

Wireless charging is one of the Mi 9’s key features. A compatible charger produced by Xiaomi would charge the phone wirelessly with 20W of power. The device will be fully charged in one hour and 40 minutes. Xiaomi Mi 9 is expected to offer Blue, Black, White, and Gold color variants.
